Week 4 Autumn Menu – Comfort Food Favorites & New Dessert!

Can you believe we’re already halfway through March? This year has been a whirlwind for so many of us, but with the change of seasons comes the perfect excuse to welcome comfort food as the days grow shorter and the nights a little cooler.

I was just telling someone how nervous I always get when we bring in a new menu. It’s a labor of love—countless hours tasting, gathering feedback from home trials, tweaking recipes, and ensuring each dish works harmoniously with the rest of the week’s lineup. On top of that, we adjust everything to accommodate dietary requirements, while keeping in mind the small matter of being two humans working within tight timeframes. Between orders closing, sourcing supplies, cooking, and delivering—it’s quite the puzzle!

This week marks Week 4 of our Autumn menu series. While we’ve learned a lot, we’ve also discovered that some dishes just didn’t work out when scaled up under our time pressures (cyclone impacts certainly didn’t help!). A few meals, sadly, won’t continue in our Autumn menu. But rest assured, every edit we make is to ensure that what you receive is exactly what we hope for you to enjoy—a meal made with care and quality.

Speaking of changes, it seems soups have become a crowd favorite! Since adding them to our Autumn menu, they’ve been flying out the door. So, starting next week, we’re adding them to our Always Available Frozen Menu! Keep an eye out—we’re still restocking after the storm disruptions, but they’ll be back soon.

Roast Tomato Soup: Rich, velvety tomato soup infused with herbs—a classic starter.

Roast Beef with Potatoes and Veggies: Tender roast beef served with crispy potatoes and a medley of fresh vegetables.

Fish and Prawn Pie: Creamy, indulgent seafood pie featuring tender fish, juicy prawns, and a golden mashed potato topping.

Chicken Pasta Bake: A family favorite with tender chicken, pasta, and a rich, cheesy sauce.

Pumpkin and Sage Risotto: Creamy arborio rice with roasted pumpkin and a hint of sage.

Guinness Lamb and Vegetable Stew: Hearty lamb slow-cooked with root vegetables and Guinness for rich, bold flavor.

Pork Chops with Apple Cream Sauce: Juicy pork chops paired with a sweet and creamy apple-infused sauce.

And now introducing our new dessert option:

Apple and Rhubarb Mini Loaf: A moist, gluten-free and dairy-free treat, packed with the natural sweetness of apples and tangy rhubarb.

Don’t forget our other dessert favorites:

Sticky Date Pudding with Caramel Sauce: Moist and rich, served with a luscious caramel drizzle.

Chocolate Semifreddo: Decadent, creamy chocolate dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth (now in a larger serving size!).
