
Week 3 Cozy Crowd Pleasers – Comforting Dishes to Warm Your Week
Today is my birthday, and the kids have kindly reminded me that I’ve officially upgraded from "just really old" to "really, really old" now that I’m nearing 50! Normally, this wouldn’t faze me, but for the first time, I can actually feel it. It’s been quite the start to the year—eventful, to say the least!
I’m grateful to have heard from most of you following (Ex) Tropical Cyclone Alfred. While it’s been a challenging time with disruptions all around, I’ve also heard so many uplifting stories of neighbours and communities coming together to support one another. These moments of kindness and resilience shine through in what has been a scary event for all of us, with recovery still ahead.
On a personal note, my partner is still in the hospital recovering from his burst appendix but is feeling better and better each day and will hopefully be back home before the week is out. The power was restored at our home late yesterday, and I can honestly say I’ve never been so thrilled to get some dishes into the dishwasher and tackle a pile of laundry! It’s the little things, right?
We’re thrilled to be back in the kitchen today after having to move quite a bit out of there and off lower shelving in preparation for the storm. This morning will be all about cleaning and reorganising, but we’re ready to dive back into action!
Talking about action - we are now entering week 3 of the new menu, which is aptly titled our Cozy Crowd Pleaser menu. The menu includes a few new things we think you will love as much as we do and a few of your existing faves! Check it out and let us know what you think.
